Canesten Fluconazole Oral Capsule is an effective single dose treatment for vaginal thrush.. It can also be used to treat your partner if he is suffering from thrush on the penis. This product is not suitable for oral thrush. Please see Daktarin Oral Gel.
Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water (with or without food).
The capsule contains Fluconazole 150mg. Other ingredients include lactose monohydrate and sodium lauryl sulphate.
Canesten Fluconazole Oral Capsule may cause side effects in some people. The most common side effects include sickness, stomach discomfort, diarrhoea and wind. Rarely, people have experienced a rash or headaches.
Do not use if you are pregnant, trying for a baby or breast feeding. Do not use if you are taking terfenadine of cisapride. Consult your doctor or a pharmacist before use if you are taking any medication other than the contraceptive pill and if you are aged under 16 or over 60. If you develop an allergy to Canesten Fluconazole Oral Capsule, see your doctor immediately. Keep out of sight and reach of children.
